The 2025 New Jersey Planning & Redevelopment Conference brings together bold ideas, innovative solutions, proven concepts, and best practices for creating stronger, more inclusive, and equitable places where people live, work, and play.
New Jersey Future and the New Jersey Chapter of the American Planning Association are proud to present a three-day conference, which will be held virtually on June 11-12 and in person at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick on June 13.
Please note that the Conference Committee seeks not only a diversity of topics and perspectives but a diversity of presenters as well. We believe the issues of systemic racism, segregation, and our legacy of inequality in land use and redevelopment must be tackled directly and proactively.

Session Proposal Requirements
Session proposal guidelines and requirements are available as a downloadable PDF document. You must read this first, as it explains the submission process in detail.
All session proposals must be submitted via the form below. You will be asked to create a Submittable account (if you do not already have one) and enter the required information about the session proposal. You may pause your submission process at any time and resume it later.
Submission Deadline
All session proposals must be received and fully completed by February 7, 2025. Only complete submissions that have complied with all requirements will be accepted. It is strongly recommended that you submit your session proposal as soon as possible so if there are questions, we can notify you before the submission deadline.

It is strongly recommended that you submit your completed nomination as soon as possible, but at least 10 days prior to the deadline, so if there are questions, we can notify you prior to the deadline.

Welcome to the New Jersey Future 2025 Smart Growth Awards online submission portal for the Redevelopment Trailblazer Award!
Redeveloping sites that have previously been developed is challenging work. Trailblazers redevelop sites while advancing the principles and practices of smart growth. The Redevelopment Trailblazer Award will go to an individual or organization that has demonstrated leadership and innovation in the field of redevelopment by executing projects that showcase how redevelopment can improve communities, respect the environment, advance societal goals, and be economically viable. Nominate a company or individual for the New Jersey Future Redevelopment Trailblazer Award.
If you would also like to submit a Smart Growth Award nomination to honor a project or plan that demonstrates smart growth principles in action, you will need to fill out the separate Smart Growth Award nomination form found here. Otherwise, please follow the submission instructions below for the Redevelopment Trailblazer Award.
